I live in the canyon, up the santiam river as it were...

Every year some guides have a get to know the river run, and as long as there is room, they let you go with them. I am not sure how much fishing there is to be done, but they show you the river. I am pondering gettng a pontoon to float the river here, and want to learn. I hope this helps...

See below for a list of dates and shove offs!!!!
All trips start with an optional breakfast at 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. Boats are
unloaded at the boatramp at 9:00, and the cars are shuttled. Trips shove
off in the river at 10:00, and finish around 3 or 4 p.m.

Not Never... Saturday. Getting to know the river...

Gonna be a fun time... Not sure yet how much fishing goes on, but I'll get the chance to see some river that I can't get to on foot. :dance:
Hopefully soon, I will find a drifty or a nice pontoon... then i'll be set.

I'm getting a lot of confused questions going on about this thread. I even sent Tag a long a letter through ifish asking what's going on.
No response.
If we can't all read something and understand it, then???

Kinda looks like he asked for a trip down the river, someone told him it won't happen, then obviously someone invited him to tag a long so he responded with the recent news. Don't understand the confusion.
