Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa!
 Nearly had a fish to the bank today. Bye bye fishy...I was 2 miles below the Hatchery. I was using the "Sandy Candy" on my 8wt flyrod. Floating line/ 8ft leader W/ indicator. Basically bobber fishing but with out bait and I can cast a whole heck of a lot more. Not to mention, I can tie all of my own eggie flies fast, cheap & SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much easier than re-rigging all day like drift fishing  . Anywho, I know the fellows up river at the hatchery all did pretty well too.

is this eagle creek that seems to be producing fish the same eagle creek by fern park? I've fished that river, from the deadline below the fish ladder, down to the car on the rock- and nothing, zero, EMPTY on each trip (5 to date). I've not found a hole more than 4-5 feet deep-
am I in the correct Eagle Creek? (most receint trip was two weeks ago--

He he he...That's the one! The bend by the car in the river hole is where I had my fish!!!
What time were you there? Too funny. Well, certainly the creek wasn't "chock-full" of fish. The water is really low for newbies to scuttle thru. Rain, rain, rain, rain

Low water? All the better. At least I know where the fish will be(tailouts of the deep holes, preferably with a little ripple on top). The fish are there, I've gone 1 for 3 in the last couple of weeks. And believe me, I'm not the best of fishermen. If you find a likely spot, hit it with everything you got. graemlins/idea.gif (eggs, worms, jigs, etc.) I pounded the same water for half an hour with different offerings before the fish made up it's mind. Go figure?
Anyway, keep hammering away. Sooner or later you'll hook up.
Luck,
Trent

Anyone been out to Eagle Creek the last few days? I was up there Sunday at the Hatchery for a short time and had moderate success. Planning a trip back this weekend if the water, weather and Girlfriend all cooperate.

The fish are there just fish the pocket water and go up to the upper canyon and hike in this time of year there are always a bunch of fish up there. I talked to my buddy yesterday who talked to another freind of ours that hiked into the canyon on Wed. between the two of them they hooked 9 and each brought out an eater buck with suprisingly good color the water is low so fish the deep water, good luck..
