whats catching fish on the siletz right now? i might be heading up to moonshine tomorrow to try my luck as a bank maggot and maybe into the canyon. Does anybody know if the road is open?

I think the Gorge is closed during the weekdays due to the amount of logging traffic.

The gorge road is closed to the public during the weekdays unless you have a special pass from GP and a CB radio. My dad has the pass and he goes up on Mondays sometimes. The last time he was there he said he ran into about 50 log trucks by the time he got to the second steel bridge. I wouldn't venture up there during the weekdays, especially without the pass. There are rumors of $1000 fines without the pass, too. I might be headed to Moonshine Friday afternoon so I might see you there. I'll be in the gorge for sure most of the day Saturday. I'll be wearing my OSU ballcap, so if you see me, say hi! :cool:
