Well it is here, the mighty derby. I hope everyone has some luck just not more than us. I have heard the start is awesome and I am looking forward to that. We are fishing the first wave and from what I have heard it is first come first serve to the holes. If you see us give us a IFish wave. Good Luck!

Steelie69,
Well...we had decent luck...8th overall, Team Todd 111 and 7th largest fish out of 156(?) teams...not too bad.
We were parked next to Eric Linde for a while (he would have been close to winning if his counted) and then he gave his anchor ball to the eventual winner, Team Shakespeare.
I lost two big ones, the other guys lost two more, probably cost us the tournament. We hauled in a bunch that were close to keepers and were totally whipped by the end of the day.
My first NW Sturgeon Tourney and had a lot of fun, it was a great day.

Blue Water,
what would it have taken to win? <font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">For us...one more keeper 35 lbs would have put us over the top...I think. Not sure if they publish the complete results...maybe on the GI Joes web site?
What were the exact categories? Biggest fish? Total fish per boat? <font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">Biggest fish and total weight of all fish per boat.

No Whishin,
Above or below the Sandy Brion <font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">We were up near Bonneville, not far past the Fishery, maybe 1/2 mile? The hookups seemed to be in deeper water on the edge of the channel.
We were closer to the Washington side in 63 ft. of water. We were about 100 yards above the Washington side range markers just upriver from the Fishery.
All on smelt. In fact, the fish were puking up live smelt when we boated them. I didn't pay attention to what others were using. I heard some hot boats were using anchovies.
A lot of action around us besides the No. 1 boat and Eric Linde's boat.
Best bet would be to launch at the Fishery.
