I was in Newport yesterday spending time on the Salmon River issue and couldn't get Don Bodenmiller off the phone long enough to question him on that. So I stopped by South Beach Marina Store & Charters on my hurried way out, and Chris wasn't there. His beautiful wife was though, and got the typical "spill" and compared notes with what little I gained from ODFW, and it suck's right now. I believe she said "slow". Driving over the bridge I observed not a single person "JIGGING" Herring. What does that tell you?

Dean is often times busier than a Beaver building a pond, but you should be able to get an honest answer from any of his employee's.
By the way, Don (Bodenmiller) did call and leave a msg. and said that the Herring could return as they sometimes did in the past.
