CB, I got your back on this one.
Alleirbag, apparently you are new to message boards or maybe even the internet. Notice the instant gremlins CB used, especially the big grin. This means he is poking fun at you. Why you may ask? Because you type all in caps.In internet speak, this is construed as YELLING. Turn off the cap locks off. He was only being sarcastic. Relax, and maybe watch for awhile. It's kind of like learning a new language.

Thanks for the lesson SC. If people first whack you over the head how do you learn. I did not know caps might what you said.

Crabbait???
You there??? You going to take that?
I knew you would, because replying would just give him satisfaction. Thanks for being the better man.
ALLEIRBAG,
In response to your question, the herring have apparently flushed out of the bay because of the heavy rain we got here the last few days. As the fresh water levels lessen, the herring "should" return. They were spawning heavily and "should" want to finish that process. "Should" is the operative word. A couple of years ago they came in heavy for just a few days, it rained hard for a week and they never came back in any kind of numbers. It is supposed to be pretty dry the next few days, so maybe by the end of the week the herring may be back.
And please, don't graemlins/icon_argue.gif at our fellow ifishers. You will always get a much better response without the  .

 Gentlemen, The herring fishing is SLOW to Nothing!!! Don't forget the commercial siene fellas took mega tonnage out of the run this year. They KILLED 'em big time!!!!! They could be on their way to Japan and we are done with jigging!! I've seen it before. Hope not, but the conditions were perfect for the commercial take this year. Last year they struck out!!! This year they got 'em. Good luck.chillyone.......

Apparently the spawn occured on Friday. There's still a few fish in the bay, but no big groups anywhere. the commercial guys, to my knowledge did NOT catch their quota. The amount of herring they did catch shouldn't affect the sport catch. In fact, they are not allowed to fish on the weekends so they won't interfere with the sport fishers. This was also the first year in several that they were allowed to catch any. Well, they were allowed to last year, but they missed the run and they were not large enough, nor had enough roe to be marketable.
