5-Cents

My fishin buddy Joe could not go fishing today because he had to be Mr. Mom :hoboy: so I decided to bank it on the Nehalem. I was excited to try my order of Frist Cast Jigs that I got a few weeks ago.
Took my time getting on the water. Walked quite a ways downstream from the Salmonberry River on the tracks. Hooked two beautiful wild steelhead, a buck of about 12 lbs that I released after a great fight. The other fish I had on for a while then it came unbottoned. :depressed:
I am very happy with the First Cast Jigs, the other jigs I was using would gum up pretty bad if you scented them up but not these. Great product! I hooked the buck on an all white jig with a pink worm on the hook and the fish I lost I hooked with a pink/white jig. I missed one other bobber down too.
Saw one other fisherman fishing down on a small (6' pontoons???) pontoon boat. He was fighting a fish when I passed him on the way down and as he drifted past me later in the day he hooked another fish too. Water was pretty green with about 3.5 ft of visibility and dropping throughout the day.
