For those of you living in McMinnville, Amity, Dayton, Dundee or generally in that area Donna Nelson is your representative. She is adamantly opposed to fee increases for fish and game licenses. It is important that you call or write to her and give her your opinion on the importance of increasing the prices to maintain the quality of service we receive from ODFW.
You can contact her via email at rep.donnanelson@state.or.us or by calling her at
503-986-1424
Even better would be to write to her because a hand written letter will get read where an email is easily trashed.

On the other hand, HB2260 can easily pass without her vote. I got the impression you could beat her over the hair for days and she would never "get it."

She will not lay claim to what she really is. One of those self serving individuals who is only concerned with what the taxpayer can do for her. Don't count on any concern from her,
Here's her sign graemlins/stupid.gif

This made me mad so i fired off an email to her. She of course will not respond.
Dear Donna,
It is my understanding that you are opposed to the increase in fees for fishing and hunting licenses. A very large number of Oregon fishermen and hunters have made it very clear that they are willing to pay higher fee's in order for the fish and wildlife commission to continue doing a good job in providing quality hunting and fishing in Oregon.
Why do you oppose the fee raise?
Let me assure you, your opposition to this matter is getting a ton of discussion around the state of Oregon via the internet and it is all negative. When it comes time to vote again iam sure this matter will be remembered. There are a lot of hunters and fishermen in Yamhill county and we shall not forget. Others from Yamhill county have emailed you regarding this matter and you have failed to even respond to their emails which shows me that you have a lack of concern for those that you represent.

Yes Waterdog i beleave it is. My next post will reveal where he works, and where he lives. unless he wants to buy me a dozen donuts. He would be easy to identify. He wears waders while working and has rod tips sticking out of each ear.

Be careful Cagey, I still have access to incriminating film evidence that was shown at your retirement party
As to the donuts, that is cop food, not retired cop food. You should be eating bran muffins
Waterdog, people have been peeking under my vale for quite awhile…

Hey you guys, not all cops are into donuts. I know from first hand experience that there is at least one Mac cop that would rather have my homemade pie over donuts any day!!!

I e-mailed her on this and here is the reply.
Thank you for your email, Mr. Sears. I have only received 1 other email to this address. I feel we should wait until the budget for ODF&W is approved to include a fee increase for licenses, because if not, the $ will not be spent to keep hatcheries open--instead for the $3.0 million increase in salaries in the bill. I am an avid fisher and am concerned about your dollars not going to where you would like to direct them. I was told by the lobbies for this bill that the increase is to keep hatcheries open--are they wrong? Rep. Nelson
I guess we really have to make sure the money will go to were we want.

At least you got a response. I have yet to here from her.
She talks a good story. Most of her stories are fairy tales. graemlins/berry.gif
Dipnet, Cagey is the king of donuts! I hear when he was the big cheese and was conducting an investigation, he left no donut unturned.

Was she in the same meeting We were. They discused the hatcheries and the keeping of personal and salaries. All of that is what the bill would do. We can't stand to lose anymore people or the hatcheries. Her memory is very bad.
I am going to e-mail her and I think everyone should. Just flood her computer.

Hey there WaterPuppy, i got an email from her highness.
Ken, I think it is important that we approved the department's budget first before this increase in licenses or the $ will not go to keep the hatcheries open; instead, it will go to salaries ($3.0M now in budget even though the Gov. has requested a hold). Thank you for your input. Rep. Donna Nelson
Shows you who is important and who is not. Iam not sure what she said. Did not make sense to me.
I never once ate a donut while conducting an investigation except the time i was investigating which bakery had the best one's.
