No water. Fished 1 spot with jigs nothing switched to pink worm bam take down, lost fish. Went to another spot tried jigs nothing, switched once again to pink worn bam, lost that one to.damn. Question...pink worn set ups..mine was 3" worm threaded on a 2 hook setup with hooks 2" apart with about 3/4" tail.Is this a good setup? Guess not if I didn't hook the fish...Yes hooks were sharp..

Roger, i assume you are fishing with a bobber. you might just use a jig head or a white jig and try it that way. you probably would have to cut the worm down. also make sure to rig the worm with the tail sticking up and not flat. your set up does not sound too bad. make sure not to use a bass jig head, call First Cast jigs.
if you are drift fishing i use one hook and would rig the worm with the head of the worm toward the hook leaving 1.5 inches of the tail not threaded to flap in the current.
i have Mon off, i will give you a call.

Roger,
I have the same problem with threaded pink worms. As you fight the fish that worm is forced down the shank of the hook like a dehooker and pops it out. I use soft worms and keep the tension up so the worm will be cut and fall off instead of popping out the hook. Make sure you keep solid constant tension.

Ok, question about jig/worm. If done correctly, does the worm hang straight down the shank of the hook? how much longer than the bottom of the hook is correct?

check out http://www.firstcastjigs.com/HowToTips.html
Mark has a tip on adding pink worms to a jig. Never done it myself, but looks interesting.

Yeah I checked that first. It looks like the tail of the worm is coming of the shank at a 90' angle? Or is it because of his hand? Dont you rig it the same way as a crappie or ling jig/worm?

you want the worm sticking up so it will catch the current and flap and entice. if it is flat it wont flap. same idea on the way i talked about rigging the drift worm. the flap is your friend.

This is THE setup for drifting the worm, also get the smallest corky/cheater that you can find. Pick a color, and put it in between the hook and the worm.
SHHHHHHHH don't tell anyone!
