View Full Version : Boating Classs-When & where?

I have not yet been notified of when I must take a boating class,does anyone know how to find the info on when each person must have their class complete.I was told it goes by age.Also where are these classes offered?Thanks.

im, you can take the test on the net for free, just make sure you get oregon test. about 75 ?'s and you need a 80% to pass, but you can take the test as many times as you need. also when you log on with your email address, you can top and start test as time allows. tjet :grin:

Or you could contact your local Coast Guard Auxilary. They offer classes that are continually noted under Bill Monroe's Thursday fish report Column.

No sure if they actually notify you of your need to get a license. I got my certification from Flotilla 76 back in May of 2000. Nice bunch of folks and the cost back then was $15.

I agree with the BoatsUS program. Take a few hours with the material and Bingo. I didn't need to do mine for a few years but did it during some boring football games.

If your talking about classes for your basic boaters license then I would recommend boatus.org it's free and easy.
