Fish the Fishery or St.Helens Area?

I am looking at going Sturgeon fishing on Saturday and am trying to decide whether to fish the Fishery or fish the St. Helens area or other spots if they are hot. :wink:

Any reports would be helpful....has anybody fished for the gators wednesday, thursday or today? Heard any good reports?

I fished the Fishery with my wife on Sunday and she put a 46 incher in the boat, I then caught a 43 incher, but I had to throw it back, she was heckling me, asking if I was going to keep a fish smaller than hers. My next fish a 42.5 incher, yep she just kept heckling me so it went back in the drink. And I ran out of bait shortly after.

I went back Monday and did not touch a keeper, saw approx. 5 keepers roped for 1/2 dozen boats !?

St. Helen's area is on and off good bite in the morning slowing down in the afternoon but lot's of keepers coming in good luck and tight lines

We did not touch a sturgeon, the fishing was very slow and there was a head wind blowing directly in our faces all morning.

Sunday (2/9) report:

We launched at the Fishery at 8 am, back at 2pm - Started in the Flats below Horsetail (by the gorge - Oneota? (sp?) - Got nuthin'

After an hour or two, went upriver to the Wash side across from horsetail with all the other boats - Slow action, shakers (12"-24" - Small!) every 15 min or so - Decided to try to find some keepers, tried another spot closer to OR for a couple hours - Again, Nuthin!

ODFW woman at the ramp reported 9 keepers for 22 boats at 2pm.
