FEAR NO FISH!
02-06-2003, 11:20 PM
On the way to the sportsman show yesterday, I stopped at Luhr-Jensen. I talked to my friend Dave Lind who is the lure designer there. He told me that they will be improving the lighted kwikfish by using a uv LED, along with a new plastic polymer to increase the brightness of the plug. It will give a better strobing effect.
I also talked with Brad Schoenborn at the show and he informed me that they will have a lighted Mag wart and wiggle wart on the market soon. He builds a quality plug so I am excited.
I still have not seen the new vortexes on the shelves yet. Ray Scott was supposed to have them on the shelves in December but that didn't happen. Still waiting.

FNF,

Are you guys still catching steelies down by McNary? I've heard from several people that fish are still coming out near the John Day dam. Just checking to see if it's worth a trip!!

Thanks in advance.

Fear no Fish, do you think the brighter kwikie will improve fishing? i remember you saying the brighter vortex did not mean more fish. hopefully the action remains the same. i am pumped to employ some of your techniques down here. i wonder if anybody does that above bonneville?

Rola76,
I have not heard of many people fishing at Mcnary but it would stil be worth a shot. Tablefare won't be so good but they still put a heckuva bend in the rod.
Fishing is life,
It was great seeing you at the show yesterday. Sorry I wasn't better company cuz of the pain meds. You are right about the brightness theory. For the first two years I didn't think too much of the lighted Kwickies. Boy did I prove myself wrong. Brad Schoenborn should produce a great lighted Mag wart and wiggle wart. They will be killer at the Wind River.
