ok Guys, i have been working on my wife for a year to give her blessing for a new Sled .. yes that would be a new North River yeeeehaaaw  i tryed all the useal tactics, listening , being sensitive, lots of dinners out.. boat show trips <evil grin> what finally put it over the top is that she likes to fish & gets cold real fast <imagine that> so i took her fishing a few weeks in my 87 alumaweld open Sled.. she froze in just a few minutes.. i picked a long run from boat lauch to fish of course  So i mention to her on the way home that if i had that new north river with a full top & we put heaters in it that she could be very warm when we go fishing during the winter.. well she finally seen my logic or just caved , not sure  anyways she says i must sell my sled i have now anyone interested i can send pictures .. chalk one more up for us good guys & marital Bliss  .. so for you guys that are in training for that new boat & have a wife sitting on the fence try my tactics .. IT WORKED FOR ME

A wise old gentleman once told me that everybody is a salesman, but most people don't realize it. Good job and congrats...

Congratulations
I still say my way is the best cause it answers the "strength of the marraige" question.
Just buy it and bring it home.
(PS: I'm still married )

Congratulations to you and your wife on you decision to get a new boat. After Loraine spent one cool morning in our first Arima with a top, sides, back and heater, she could not believe I ever "made" her fish in our previous open boats. Yes it is half her boat, but she lets me use it when ever I want, and does not go all that often, but sure enjoys the comforts of heat and a porta potty when she does.

Beautiful!!! I've always said that the key to manipulation is to convince the person that it was their idea in the first place. Some men are too proud and have to have it "their way." Everything has to be "their idea." I tell them that if you can live with it being "the little woman's idea." They will get what they want in the long run. Some guys never learn. Some are great manipulators.

p.s. I love my significant other even more when she comes up with great ideas!!
