I finished my taxes today and thought I would summarize my annual fishing/Hunting fees. I've defined the fees as costs given to government agencies (City, county, state, federal) to access or fish/hunt public areas. Here is my summary to the nearest couple bucks:

Yes in Idaho you can fish with 2 rods, with a 2 rod permit, for everything but sea run Salmon and Steelhead.

Best I can figure about $110 total. That's fishin', a deer and an elk. Nothing fancy.

I think I can now fish out-a-state (Wa.) as cheaply as I can within my own state. Since I mostly fish the Columbia, it might be time to only purchase the WA. tag.

Rumor has it, that we are currently 'asking' to have our own fees increased.
