I recently upgraded an older Willies that I had purchased and installed a heater under the front deck. The problem I'm having is that the deck gets to be unbelievably hot?? I've thought of placing some sort of heat shield up under the deck that way it can disapate the heat?
Have any of you run into this sort of problem and if so what did you do?? Any suggestions appreciated. K-dog

K-Dog,
You got it exactly. I put a sheet of aluminum riveted to the top deck with a drop of about 4 inches. Mine extends pretty much across the whole top deck but you could get away with a smaller one. That will take care of the problem completely. It absorbs the heat and keeps the deck from overheating and cooking your eggs or whatever you put on there. email me if you have specific questions about it. It is pretty straightforward.

How far back under the bow did you mount it? If mounted up front on the lower bow plate, it seems to circulate a little better!

It is mounted all the way forward. I think i'll go with the heat shield. I think it will work. If i have any q's i'll give you a call. Thanks K-dog
