What amount of dead rise, at the max, would you suggest for running white water? Say from the mouth of the Deschutes up.

HR, it is somewhat dependent on what you are going to use it for. Most sled manufacturers building for white water will recommend an 11 degree or less. Some who side drift from their sled go with as flat as 6 degrees of deadrise.

Heliarc---I've had a jet for 15 years--I don't know what the deadrise is .But we've run the rogue and fished B 10 for 15 yrs.
The most important part of your boat is your PFD,s----USE THEM.
All boats are trying to get to the bottom---DO NOT BE WITH IT !!!
just a word of caution----

I have 12 degrees on my 21"TJ. This body of water eats boats no matter what degree of rise you may have. I run it often in the summer up into Macks Canyon. Love the river, but its not for the faint of heart.
