Just got back from the Sandy,( got to the river 7 am.)no smelt in Troutdale, went below I-84, no smelt there, was there for an hour, were some dippers, however, not doing much at all. Smelt probably back in the Columbia.
Sorry.

Wait for the water to come down and to clear up. They will be back.

I called Jack's...there are some people netting a few and the river is dropping...she said it's no big pilot run like it was, but could start up again any time.
Bottom line is you takes yore chances.

Someone needs to try out behind Reynolds and Reynolds. When the river rises a lot of times they don't pull all the way out, but the pull back to there and hold up. Its a little walk but it can pay off. Just drive down the old road to sundial, ya know next to Troutdale airport and park behind Reynolds and Reynolds and follow the little road to the river.
