The Northwest Outdoor Show can be heard Saturday mornings from 6-8 on Sportsradio 910 The Fan

Hi everyone-

I think we have a pretty good show for those of you who are up or on their way to the river.

Jennie will be on with me to tell us a little bit about her background and success. Maybe even a Kilchis trick or two if I can get it out of her.

Also, David Johnson will take some time with us to talk about the Wilson River, float recomendations and techniques. He is one of the best, so you'll probably enjoy our conversation.

We will have a flyfishing report, a NE Chucker report and some give aways along the way.
Hope you can join us

Tight Lines,

Lance Fisher

Edited by Jennie, cuz.... you spelled my name wrong!

That wasn't too bad Jen, at least it's over the phone and you don't have that mic in the face.

It went by a lot faster than I expected.

Hogmaster-Now that I'm up I'm going back to bed. BTW, how's my hair?

Hog,

Jen always looks good on the radio.

But David, now he has a face for radio

I'm leaving in a few minutes after dog does his duty.

I DID! I DID! I DID GO CATCH ANOTHER STEELIE!

Remember, everyone, all caps is reserved for political action threads, and when Jennie catches a fish!

LOL

I'll try harder not to scream. It's just so flippin fun!

Uh huh... About a 7 pound buck... A little dusky, but I bonked him anyway. The meat is beautiful and I was hungry!

See,

That good lookin' hair got you into a fish!

David, you have a severe case of Hat Head. Your radio career is assured. Lance is worried.

reeldick, Redbull and I all tried to apply your educational tips up on the Clack this morning, but all I caught was a tree, and Redbull was going through his "That sure felt good!" syndrome.

Now reeldick, he did luck into a hookup and things looked good for about 2 seconds before his 10 pound Maxima Ultra Green leader broke!!! Just goes to show ya.

We saw a few being yarded out (Dog Creek) but everything I saw was dark and skinny. Some people are just hungry I guess. :hoboy:

Anyway, I should have stayed home and fished the back yard. There are a few boats working out there today, as well as several at the mouth of the Clack. Have seen no action...

Same thing here Hogmaster,

Started out at Barton after waiting for daylight. (BTW Jennie, thanks for mentioning night closure in Oregon on the radio. I would have messed up) (Gotta read those regs. :hoboy: ) No fish. Found a coffee mug in the water and thought of the wreck. :depressed:

Moved to Eagle Creek(?) Not sure if that's what it is call. Anyway, parked the car and plodded through a 1/4 mile of mud and fished at the mouth. Water looked great. Did not see any fish.

Finished up my day at McIver SP. Man, what a great area!! Nice country roads and a fantastic view of Mt. Hood. Parked down by the hatchery and fished down at Dog (?) creek. There sure are a lot of creeks running into this river..... Saw some summers hauled out of there but nothing else.

I would like to thank David and Chris for the info and directions (which were spot on).

I enjoyed my outing to the Clackamas. The areas were clean and the people friendly.

Jennie,

You sounded great this morning. I was on a long drive up to the CC (Crowded Cowlitz) Great to have a nice person as a voice for sportspeople.

I wish I could have kept the station on the radio past Longview 'cause I was really hoping to rip on DJ. Completely missed him though. I still have the STS mag from last spring with Dave holding a springer with the red stripe painted on it! (Steelhead don't get that big in the Clack!?!) All I can say Dave, "last time I saw amouth like that, it had a hook in it"

Waka Waka Waka
