Can any Ifishers out there tell me what they are paying for trays of herring. I'm curious because I went to the only store in Corvallis that sells them and they wanted 6 bucks a tray. I'm trying to stock up early for the springer season. I think my first springer trip is less than a month away. Thanks

Just bought a case of blues and a case of greens for $80 each. This is down from $90 per case last year.

At this point, I'm still trying to find fresh bait,[fresh frozen, not from last fall].
I'm not having any luck.FM has lots of bait, but they must have gotten it last year, white eyes -- no good :hoboy:
I called Tillamook Bait,Marie told me they will have some "fresh" in 2 weeks or so.
If anyone out there knows anyplace where we can get good green /blue pack let me know---Turn me on to a good supply, and I've got a open seat on my boat[I live on the MC,I've even have a "secret"hole or 2]

A case of green label is 34 trays. I am not certain how many are in the Blue Label case, but it is less than the green.

Hey Red, count me in as one of your 3 guys for a 2 case split. Would that be a case of
green and a case of blue? That would work great for me. Husker might be interested too, it looks like by his post. We are all in the Portland Metro area, so it should be easy to do.

Hey Chris,

We'll be getting in a small load of herring (30 cases) tomorrow from Puget Sound. Some greens, blues, purples and blacks...

We will have three or four different price options on ALL of our herring we have in stock, depending on what you want to pay.

Too many prices to list here.

Please feel free to come to Marie's Bait Shop in Tillamook and see what option you might be interested in.

We have something for everyone!

We don't want everybodys business...

Just Yours!

Thanks for asking,

Just next month you can get them for free! Well almost. If you have kids let them catch them for you! Last year I spent 4 hours and kicked back and watched the kids have a ball catching my bait!

They caught 20 Dozen plus a few crabs...Vacuum sealed them and they were good all spring & summer.

Just get jiggy with it in Newport and they're free!

if you ever get up here near Pt Defiance swing by the boathouse. They sell them live for somewhere around $3/dozen I believe. Hand them to you in a plastic bag still squirming. Doesn't get fresher than that.

Last year Iwent for a drive with my wife and
my daughter and we ended up in New Port It was a hollyday in early february P day. Any way I had my daughters fishing pool in the truck so I went fishing for herring I got pleanty of herring to fish the summer and fall.
I froze them with borrax and when I went to use it I would dip them in water and put them in a bag with rock salt and crashed ice. Good luck
