I fished a trip today on the Alsea from Fall creek to Rivers Edge park. Fishing was pretty good until late afternoon, we hooked up 4 fish and released 1 graemlins/eek13.gif :hoboy: native about 8 lbs. We had two other takedowns but came up clean. Talked to two other boats one lost one and released a nice native the other had three nice clipped fish in the boat plus two jack or one salt fish and had released two natives. The rain really came down this afternoon water started to rise ever so slightly and the bite was off. Most fish were hooked either driftfishing or on divers and bait.

Jet drifter,
It was definitly a good day of fishing today. I don't know if anybody did well on the upper drifts today, and I would be curious how they did lower on the river also. I think there are definitly more fish to come in yet, I did hear the guys plunking down near Mike Bauer got into some fish today as well.

I stopped at the Wayside yesterday 1/13 morning and nothing was caught early. I bank fished above Fall Creek and talked to 20-30 others that had caught nothing and seen nothing. Sounds like you were the only ones doing well.
I may have seen you putting in yesterday. Were you dropping next to the bridge around 8am? I am new to rowing, how difficult is the run from Fall Creek to River's Edge? I have rowed Fiver Rivers to the Wayside, does it compare?
Forkhorn, If yyou ever have the same sitation again email me. I ran into same thing yesterday. I wanted to get out and float, but no one had a pass for the day.

Loren, Robert and Tim in one boat? Now thats scary. Make sure you guys post what river and what drift you are going to be on. Im thinking it would be a smart idea to stay away from you guys that day.
