On January 22 2003, ODFW will hold the first of several Hatchery Management Policy Workshops in which the public is invited to attend. It will be held at the ODFW Portland Office / Commission Room from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The Hatchery Management Policy (HMP) will describe the various roles of hatcheries in Oregon and identify policies and guiding principles shaping their use in fisheries management. Although this document describes the hatchery “tool” and potential uses, a companion document, Native Fish Conservation Policy and Guidelines (NFCP), determines how the tool will be applied in specific watersheds.
