Hey I-fishers:
Washington Fish & Wildlife is closing certain parts of Puget sound rivers due to a lack of hatchery fish. Seems hatcheries are worried they may not get enough broodstock this season. Seems like we might be faring a bit better down here, but it sure seems like somebody pulled the plug on steelhead this year, huh?
for info on the closures goto Seattle P-I and Seattletimes websites.
Perhaps el nino has reared its ugly head.
