best bet for this week

my dad and i are looking to take out the drift boat later this week for some winter steelies. we were thinking abou the nestucca, but i was curious as to what others thought may be our best bet for a drift trip within a couple hours of salem. it seems that the nestucca is kinda slow right now. what about the alsea? or should we try to catch some nates here on the north santiam. i hear there are a few fish in the little north fork. does anyone fish for winters on the North Santiam? just curious on others' thoughts. thanks.

I have been out a few times up here in Mehama and there is a small run of winters that run up the little north fork. I hear that there are still some summers here and there also but have yet to get into any fish with the river the way it is. Going out in the morning and give it another go will let you know how it goes. I would think the Wilson would be a good bet later in the week .
