After the high water, the river is dropping back into semi-fishable state. I haven't gotten out this weekend, but some I know have and have taken a few winter fish. With the weather projected, we ought to have good fishing here by mid-week. Indicators show that there may be a good number of fish to be had.

I sure hope so... It's been nearly three weeks since I've been on the river - I'm shaking so bad I don't think I could tie on my otis bug!

I too could not get out this weekend due to out of town commitments, but when I crossed the river Sunday afternoon, it became necessary to make arrangements to be off work Tues. Steelhead green is my favorite color! I will get back with the results tomorrow.

Yea, I need updates too. As I put in another post yesterday, the water was fishable from TouVelle and up. I'd like to go down to GP this weekend for some early winters. Let me know what you find out. I normally fish Whitehorse to Hog Creek.

Well here is what I know. The water is still a little high, but very fishable! We hooked 8 and landed 6 today below G. P. The fish we were able to hang onto were all native fall fish. The two that got away were large, strong and HOT until they came unbuttoned.
There really did not seem to be a very good bite today as we worked hard for the fish we got. All on eggs and a clown corkie.

I know there are not many of us down here in So. Ore. but has any one else been out this week, practicing for the challenge?
