I have Lami pole that has a missing insert in one of the eyes . What is the best thing to do to fix? Maybe just put another in myself( what is the best way to put a new one in?) or do I need to take it back to Lamiglass ?

When and where did you buy it?

I believe I bought it a couple years back from Gart Sports or maybe when it was Sporstmart, so I am not sure if I still have the receipt anywheres. Thanks for the input guys..that was fast! I will take it to Fishermans and see if they can send it in. Thanks

L.S. I had the same happen to one of my lami rods. I took it back and it was fixed by them. My rod was an older one, but the guy remarked that it was in excellent comdition so he was not going to charge me the $5.00 they usually charge.
But all he did was this and I have been doing the same since. Since the rod was old, he showed me a quick fix.
Assuming that the metal part of the guide it still intact and not damaged and only the insert fell out which is what happened to mine.
First find a guide that has the same size and color guide. Pop out the insert.
Take some super glue and spead it around the metal seat. Pop in new insert and let dry. Watch your fingers !!!
That was it. Took less than 2 mins. The rod did not have to be messed with.
If you broke the metal footing or it is too far out of shape you will have to have it replaced.

I had the same thing happen to me not to long ago. I took the rod back to lamiglas and got a call in a few days later that my rod was done. They retied a new eye onto it for free.
