My son and I would like to get guided trip on the upper Umpqua for steelhead. Iwas wondering if any of you folks have any info. about it. We would like to go some time in the last half of Feburary. Happy new year everybody. Thanks for any info. Bugs

Bugs,
You didn't mention if you fish with gear or flies, so I'm going to assume its with gear.
The North Umpqua gets real good at the time of year you're talking. Feb and March are both really good.
Glad to hear you're thinking about a guide. Its a tricky river to learn to fish (at least it was for me).
Theres some really good guides there, but I'd recomend Darren Roe of Roe Outfitters (541)884-3825. Good luck, hope this info helped.
PS The winter fish are all hard fighting natives
