Hammond crab?

Has anybody crabbed the CR near Hammond in the last couple of weeks? I know the commercial guys settled on price, but are they working the river or heading out over the bar?
I have a guest from out of town who wants to go, but I don't want to drive down there if it's a waste of time. :whazzup:

Last Saturday I saw commercials laying pots in the river up tp almost the bridge. I am done for the year.
