Fished the Alsea river yesterday from Mill creek to Campbell(pinkhouse). No fish to speak of caught anywhere on the run. There were a few taken down river below five rivers that I heard of. The Northfork hatchery had like 380 in the trap as of Dec.23. Fall creek had it's first count of 36 in the trap. It is fairly slow fishing and most are hoping the next rain will bring more in. Not as many fish so far, there were almost 3 times as many at this time last year. The surf conditions have also been fairly rough so I think the fish are just a little late as they seem to be starting to show in more numbers on the lower river.
