Merry Christmas Ifishers
Hear backer rod is still hard to come by.
To say thanks for all you’ve taught me this last year - anyone who stops by Tillamook Bait from about noon Saturday 12/28 to noon Friday 1/3 and mentions Ifish when they buy bait can have 3 feet of white 3/8” backer rod for free. Hope to see some new rags on the Wilson. And thanks to Marie for letting me do this through her shop. Wishing you all a fintastic 2003

My lack of knowledge will show as I have to ask. What the heck is a backer rod? and what would I do with it?
Thanks for the lesson and guys, please be gentle with the laughter.

DO a search (button upper right) for rags then read the thread from 12-15-2002 entitled "what color rags"

Bought some on Tuesday at Home Depot on Gresham. They had tons. Unfortunately, it is not white, but grey. Anyone know where to find the white?

Jon,
When driving north on 101 thru Tillamook, take the right just before you get to the Shilo. Its up the road a mile or so on the left.

When going N. on 101 in Tillamook you come to a intersection with a traffic signal -Fred Meyer on the left - strip mall with a sporting goods shop on the right. Turn right - go past Latimer Quilt Center (an old school house) - just before a rise in the road the bait shop will be on your left. The road name is Wilson River Loop

Safety Chain - Aside from DiveR's good will in giving three feet of it away to each of Marie's customers between the 28th and 3rd, the only other place I know of at the moment where you can get white backer rod is the vision hooks website. I ordered some on a Monday and it took a week to get to me. As I understand, that's pretty quick response for them, so your mileage may vary. To their credit, I also understand they have a new computer and maybe that's why they are a bit quicker with their orders now. Good luck in any case!
