My 13 yr. old son is doing a reasearch paper on the life cycle and migration of chinook salmon. We need some information pertaining to the commercial aspect of the fishery off the Oregon coast. Like permits, regulations, recent catch rates. We have found some information, but it is very tough to get to the bottom line. Is there a somewhat simple resource that we can find that info in? graemlins/1zhelp.gif  graemlins/1zhelp.gif  graemlins/idea.gif

Cool project! try the following web page for commercial fishing
regulations/limits/fees and permits ... ODFW_commercial_fishing_web_page (http://www.dfw.state.or.us/odfwhtml/commercial/)

Oh, yeh, I forgot ... If you have any questions that I might be
able to answer for you, I'd be happy to. Understand, though, I'm
not a real commercial fisherman ... I only do it part
time and I *do* spend time sport fishing as well. I actually have a
real job that puts bread on the table, a roof over my head and
makes my boat payments!
