They did well when the water first dropped but it's stormn again. Supposed to get up to 70 mph winds today and tomorrow. Sunday might be a good day if the weather clears off and it doesn't come up too much in the next couple of days.

In addition, how about the Coquille and the Coos rivers? Gonna be down that way over Christmas and want to fish.

I am waiting on a Coquille report this morning. I know they fished it yesterday. I will post when I hear.

The coos is starting to produce some steelies as is all of the local steelhead haunts down here. The closer it is to new years the more the fish will be in. I'm sure the coquille will follow suite but there's always a lot of water in that system so it seems to blow out pretty easily. Probably due to the large watershed that's coming into it. When it's fishable though there's a lot of fish in that river.

If not online, how about a business that will have daily condition reports that a guy can call in to? Any south coast anglers out there that can help us?

The Coos River system is tough to get an idea on..
the Sixes stroe 514.332.6666, and the Elk river hatchery 541.332.7025

you can call me 541.396.4895

There are good numbers of brats in the Coos system... I now a guy that has ten on his tag from last week alone.

The Coquille is also producing.. however with out a good snow pack, the rivers (EF and NF) have dropped out again.
The SF shoud be producing.

So the Coos system is starting put out fish huh? Is there any way to find out color and height on the coos and millicoma rivers on-line or anyway?

Fished hard the Six on Thursday and didn't see a fish. Most of us pulled out early and headed to the Elk. We picked up one on the Elk on that afternoon.
the Six was the right height and about 1.5 visability, but brown.
The weather was the pits. Huge wind gusts and sideways rain.
Friday the Sixes dropped another 2-3 inches and the clarity seemed better. Wrong....within an half hour it must of dumped an 1 to 2 inches of rain and oh yea...50 mph wind.
Went over to the Elk to try to repeat. We missed two and the average per boat was about 1.5 fish. The water came up about 6 inches and the color milked up.
The Sixes may fish monday, but its been slow

Sixes may fish Tuesday?
