The fish are throughout the system now. Fished a short time yesterday from 1260 - 1340 cfs. 2 fish on, one landed (25" winter buck) both on corkie/yarn/and of all things, a single salad shrimp (something I picked up on someone post awhile back. For .39 I had more shrimp than 3 guys would use all day; should have brought the salad!). Anyhoo, great color and level - should only get better.

Cool deal with the cheapo shrimpo. I used to bang summers on them.
I'd also score a couple fresh prawns and place them in rock salt in the fridge to harden them up and then stick a toothpick up its back and use 'em to plunk with Spin 'n' Glo.
Fresh purple or pink prawns that become scarce have taught me how to improvise. Guess what? I'd stick with the fresh prawn method over the other.
Sometimes it's nice to have bait become scarce. I really like to play around finding natural alternatives.
Lets see them photos!!

Good job  , I am glad someone had some luck on the Sandy today. What section of river were you fishing?

Saw someone land a nice steelie with his spey rod, but didn't get a chance to see what he caught it on. He certainly deserved it, as he worked pretty hard to get that fish. It appears he lives near the river and fishes the hole regularly and knows it intimately.

I was fishing the Dodge Pk area. Fisheromen and Riverdog weren't around to take the pic so they'll have to believe a punch card I guess or visit my freezer. Maybe I'll go visit Santa at Mier & Franks @ lunch and ask for a 3.2 megapixel or something.
Caught and release a 12+ pound native buck at Dodge Park Wednesday morning. Summer fish. Orange corkie, white yarn with Smelly Jelly crawfish.

Wiser,
How are you, long time no talk. Hows my favorite drift doing at the park............all clear I hope. Sounds like I'll have to come out and visit you and get the ball rolling at the park. Look forward to seeing you soon, week after xmas I think.
Talk with you later,
JK

Still seems slow in the Oxbow Park section. Color is great, just need those fish to start biting...
