check out the Oregonian. 2003 Willamette run should be over 100k fish for 2nd consecutive year in a row. Steve King is quoted saying if conditions allow to start fishing in late Jan this year. the fish will be returning a bit earlier. even earlier next year as those will be 5 yr old fish. 80-90 percent should be from hatcheries. on the Columbia they predict 145k fishies versus 295k this year. Summer chinook will be 87k vs. 129k. They will allow sport fishing. how do we get this if we dont get the newspaper. i checked out the website and there was no news release. Thanks Bill.
