M M jr I was at carver today when Wayne landed a fish was that the fish?
metalhead madness jr

Yes it was the fish. We caught it up by the carver wall. It took a bite out of the sand shrimp and then we got it on a orange and black quickfish.

Man I am glad to see somebody had some action today. I fished Barton and Eagle Creek today, had one bobber down at Barton but was sleeping and missed it. Did you all know that they are still recycling summers to barton? I watched the PGE guy dump about 20-25 at the boatramp this morning. There were a few dark ones in there but the majority of them still looked to be in great shape. I fished on them for about an hour without any luck and decided to pack it up. I think I should've gone to the Wilson.

I saw four fish hit the bank in 30 minutes behind the Guide Shop on the Wilson today around 11:00 today. Unfortunately, none of them were mine. The water was gorgeous green and dropping.

Both me and I-Fish member William drifted the Clackamas from Feldheimer's to barton today. The water is in perfect shape. The bad news is that neither of us were able to even get a bobber down or even a simple head shake. The good thing is that is was not crowded at all. Saw three DB's and two sleds. Sounds like the Wilson did real well, even for the cramped conditions.

That IS a Coho  ! Though you're far too young to drink (pretend it's rootbeer), you still deserve a toast there Buck!!
That's in the top 5 Coho I've ever seen, and I've seen some pigs. Biggest ever was a 25 1/2 pounder a friend of mines father caught on a small mid coast stream in about 1978. It was almost a state record as I recall, and was measured on a certified scale (back when you could keep 'em all).
If that's 23 (and it looks like it could be), that's one fine FEESSH!!!!!!
Keep it up boy!!!!!!!

Cograts on the fish young man. I used to see some big, real big coho up in the trap up at the PGE trap, you all know the dam. MMMMMAAAAA ya that one!! CASADARO!
Man I persoanlly thought that it looks like a chinook. Doesn't that mouth look black?
Wonder why it doesn't have the traditional blushing that the silver bucks possess.
It looked like the resemblence of the green that the springer bucks have.
Cool enough. Happy to see your photo proof.
I love photos
Glad to hear the river was empty. I would rather go to an empty river with little fish then a crowded river that is chocked full of fish. My preference that's all!

hmm looks like a chinook.. but it can be kept right? thought fall chinook were for the taking, clipped or not clipped
Tanner

That is definitely not a chinook. It is a big ol' hook nosed silver buck. I have caught many of them out of the Willamette at OC this time of year. The way the nose hooks gives it away. 2 years ago my son caught one about the same size but much brighter out of the garbage hole.
Unless I got some bad info, I believe alot of those fish are headed for the Collowash.

Hey going to miss you tommorrow. Troy and I are going to fight the crowds and fish in the morning. The river is clearing a little. If you talk to your uncle rich he can set you up with a rod and some gear. Talked to a guy in riddle yesterday and he got 3 @ Stanton park. Try there or the Myrtle Creek bridge by the freeway, Rocket red corkie and some white yarn. Depending on the flow you'll need from 1.5 to 4" of lead. Hows the river look? I heard it was pumpin mud 2 days ago. No rain it will come into shape in about 3 days. Good Luck and see you Friday. Love you, Dad graemlins/hearton.gif

Priddy holds one of the most important fish in the Columbia Basin in his hands. The fish he holds dictates the regulations for theOcean,Columbia and Clackamas Fisheries. The value of that fish is nothing short of astounding. That fish is worth MILLIONS ! if it is a Coho.
