He honestly and truly believes he's in the right??
Yikes. I hope the state has the money and the balls to stick with this.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is exactly what I have been posting for 2 years now. Land owners I challenge you. Keep getting puppet backwoods law enforcement officers to issue unlawful citations and see what happens. Bam you lose!!!!!! I hope this case and article enboldens you fishermen. Boys carrry those barbwire cutters in the boat too
Don't take crap from landowners but stay below mean high watermark and don't trespass to get there and clean up your trash.

Ha - I love it! This guy is going to push this issue into the courts and LOSE! graemlins/berry.gif
Keta - did you fish the Pistol yesterday?
Form the article:
Vandals, however, made that deadline moot this week when they cut down the fence, says McNeely, who adds that he will rebuild one as soon as the rain-swelled river shrinks to manageable size.

Keta and Nerta were last seen pushing snow over the top of Bear Camp road..... they said something about 'fence work'. I found nothing suspicious about that knowing they are a couple of farm boys from the Klamath basin but now that you mention it, those sheep don't stray that far!!!!!

I somehow feel that this wouldn't be as much of an issue for the land owners if there wasn't a subspecies of angler that has no problem marking their favorite fishing spots with trash.

If all the landowners were to control the river banks as this guy does, I think I would have to fish from a battleship!
Dog,
That was BAAAAAAAAD!

What I get fromthis is a case of an over zealous land owner.
Fences do not belong in any river. Fences are put up to keep cattle out of an area. If this fence was placed properly, it would have been away from the river to keep cattle from going in to the river.
This is one landowner fighting a losing battle. :hoboy:

Wanna know how to kill cattle AND fishermen?? Place a 3 strand barbed wire fence across a fairly fast moving reach of water. Cattle going for greener grass on the other side get pinned, as do fishermen looking for brighter fish.
This A$$HOLE deserves a house (or should I say river?) call. Anybody out there care to join me? Big storm down south right now--how 'bout next week?
This B.S. has got to stop
And by the way, having fished the Pistol in a driftboat, albeit not in a number of years, I don't think it's litter that's pissin' this guy off--it's those dang Homeo(spelling intended, ya can't even spell the human race without getting censored these days) Sapiens!!! You know, that race of "people" that keep overunnin' those poor freakin' Neanderthal's last refuges? I too treasure my privacy--but one cannot invoke the law while simultaneously flagrantly disregarding it.

What we need is an email/phone campaign keeping on the state's *** until they address this problem.
Anybody know where to email or call down in salem to put this **** to rest??

Having the state do nothing is what we want. There is precident in the courts just fish, float and bank rivers as we always have. Who wants to do a floatilla down the Lewis and Clark River this winter? That is one heck of a Nav. River with lots of strays etc.
