Call Elk river RV park yesterday said the river was off color but clearing. The hatchery said it was at 5.1. Couldn't get the Sixes store to answer. I't going to be a long drive if it is blown out. But I just got to go. A fishing we will go  Better go , give a report Sunday night. See ya.

M.Russ1, morning! The forecast for the So. Coast sounds pretty ugly my friend! Winds to 60 + and rain big time all of Sat. and another front behind that one. Check the NOAA weather site for the coast, hopefully it helps in the future. The weather has gone from drought to deluge in a BIG way...Give us a shout on the return, hope all is fishy. Drive careful coming and a going!!!!

Don't waste the money coming down this weekend.. River was nice yesterday about mid afternoon. Fishing wasn't the best, wasn't the worst. a lot of dark fish.. But as of this morning, River is Blown out.. Unless you like to fish in Chocolate milk and row down streems we are having around 70 mph winds in bandon. today. (saturday) Good weekend to stay at home and read ifish.

Just got off the phone with my dad who lives down that way. He said it is one nasty SOB today. High winds and tons of rain.
He sai from 10:00am to 11:00 am he counted 11 driftboats headed back from down south. Sounds like those guys said forget it.

We made it home. Wow what a storm. Ya Baby WOOOOO. Got to the Sixes store and had an interesting to Bad 2.99 special  . The wind was blowing hard to say the least. Looked at the Sixes it was gone. Went over to check the Elk the color was better but too much wind for eather so we made a few cast in back of the hatchery off of the bank and said let's go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As we were leaveing Fishpatrick was off loading his boat at the ramp. Hope he has good insurance. With some of the gusts of wind so hard we saw a 80 to 100 foot fir come crashing to the ground. I don't know how you could row a drift boat in that  Glad to be home

They give you the info you ask for if they can. I call the Sixes store and the Elk river hatchery line when I might be headed that way
