Being somewhat new to the big river fishing now that I have my own motorboat, does anyone ever fish the mouth of the Kalama, Cowlitz, Washougal, Sandy etc. for these winter steelhead that our moving into the system?? It makes sense to me but I have never known anyone that has done this. I am always interested in learning new water and new techniques!!!

I haven't done this for winters, only for summers. If you go out and do it, let us know the results. I would try a lighted kwikie at night if I did try it. Good Luck

Try it....I've been wanting to fish the Cowlitz mouth but haven't been out for awhile. Maybe this coming weekend...
