What a great day!!! My daughter and I, along with the venerable David Johnson, managed to once again put asunder the myth that Winter Steelhead fishing requires rain to be productive. Darn near 60 degrees, ultra low water, and...I'll let David fill in the details--or not.
Suffice it to say, there was one fat happy 40+ daddy, and an elated 10 year old who enjoyed one of the finest days of fishing this ol' ex-guide can remember. Remember, there is more to fishing than catching a limit, though we...oops! Check David's website later tonight for the "details"!

You know, that guy on Dave's website does look alot like me...tall, brown haired, and he's got a goatee--unfortunately, he's about 40 pounds lighter than me! Dave will post about our trip later, he's probably just getting home.
They're out there!

Wild Hog, the sad thing is that young guy with the goatee and no gray hair IS THE SAME AGE AS YOU!!
For an old guy and a beautiful young laddy it sure was a great time.

Mark,
I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you graemlins/1zhelp.gif .
I would, however, love to learn to jig fish. Perhaps we should go fishin'...my tongue tends to slip when I'm having a good time  . Seriously, it sounds like the low water is almost over anyway--monday or tuesday off?
By the way, 8 for 12 today  !!!! Really.

Fishin 62. I edited my message after seeing your reply above. Not everyone needs to see it. Glad you took time to look at things a little differently. David is a good guy.

God Bless the DJ,
I've had the pleasure on a few occations to see the man in action sometimes wish I had spent my boat money on trips with him instead.
My impression from the smiles of his clients.
He's always been very friendly and curtious on the river. I truley enjoy sharing the river with him and not feeling like he's mad I'm on his river.........
Thanks DJ
Fire
