Took RG, RG's sister, my son Brad, and myself out to a local chum river. Didn't have alot of time, so figured it was a quick fish fix.

Well, my son landed his first chum. I helped him a bit on the beaching process, but he did the fighting. It was a borderline keeper. But he was so proud of it (and the hatchery wants them out completely) so I let him keep it. I'll smoke it (luckily was firm and meat was still a bright pink surprisingly). So, here's his picture, RG had to hold it for him (he was afraid of the teeth.) http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/uploads/UP1730.jpg

Way to go Brad. Watching kids catch their first salmon is a blast.

I'm envious. I wish my kids still got "the thrill".

That's a really good pic!
A keeper, for sure!
