Rule #1. Always have a camera handy. There's so many times when you're out there that you all of a sudden see a "Kodak Moment". When it happens...You're "armed".
Also...It's nice to snap a happy face holding a freshly caught fish. The smile is genuine, and the fish look better snapped "at the moment" instead of after laying around for who knows how long.
Let's all continue to keep these awesome pics coming.

Just coming out of the Skipanon into the Columbia looking towards Astoria this fall. The picture loses so much compared to what it really looked like. :depressed: It was so far away that I had to zoom with the 10X optical zoom, It's very hard to hold still on a moving boat.

This was the first thing we saw as we entered the Columbia out of Chinook WA, harbor after waiting 1 1/2 hours to launch (and we were told it was much worse the day before!).

KF85,
On that day there was a 40+#er and a couple of twenty-ish #ers caught by the two guys in that photo. One of the two lost his two fish due to a bad knot on the stringer line :hoboy: and the guy who caught the hawg also caught a jack.
I will never tell who did what...only to protect the innocent   ...and you would be surprised at the answer. graemlins/eek13.gif

A few years ago, I was fishing off the Skipanon River for sturgeon. It was one of those rare days where there were no crowds, no wind, no waves, no clouds. I was about to doze off when I looked next to me and saw this guy being pulled upstream "chasing" his sturgeon. All was silent as he slowly moved upstream. It was a great day on the river
