Just wondering what sort of jobs people have. Some IFISHer's may have more in common than you think. Networking within our "community" may be interesting.

BTW: Im a Area Sales Manager for a local Budweiser distributor.

Wow! How many job titles are there?

I am a wife and we have one super athletic daughter. Without her we would be very lonley.
Shes on the UNM Swim Team and just came home with a super time of 23.90 seconds in her 50 yd freestyle. This is during the Champinionship Finals in OK. She placed in a "A" time and is as fast as the Olympic Swimmers!
Me and my husband have degrees in Outdoor Recreational Management from Utah State University. So we decided to open a bait and tackle store in Oregon. Just for fun.
We've been here for 13 years now and love it alot.
We harvest our own baits, process it and market it and deliver it nation wide. Thanks to the internet and my web site and Jennies it has made a HUGE difference in the past two years. Captain Dennis decided to go ocean fishing today and we will take pictures when he gets home.

We just wanted to live in a safe place near the ocean, where there was clean air and lots of fishing to do.

I am a natural stone and ceramic tile installation contractor.(Self-unemployed) Wonderful job. I get to be the boss and set the schedule, which often includes "buffer time" that ends up being fishing time. I get to work with products that are inherently beautiful, and the projects are always different. Much of what I do crosses over into small remodeling so there's plenty of variation and I'm always learning. Only negative is sometimes it does takes a while to get your money. Been in this trade for almost 20 years now, still being good to me so I'll hang in there.

Hate to be disruptive, but I think I have the best job(most of the time). Regional Park Supervisor at Oxbow Park, on the Sandy River. April 16th will mark my 29 year anniversry with the agency. The last 17 years have been spent at Oxbow Park where I am in charge of all operations and maintenance. I have been "forced, as part of my job responsibilities" to live in the park with a 1,200 acre back yard. I do have a better chance than most to get an idea of what's going on down at the river.
Six grown(but never completely gone) children and nine grand children keep my wife busy and provide an outlet if there are ever any extra fish in the fridge. I guess I'm going for 40 on the job too. That will carry me to the age of 59, when it will be time to retire.
So if anyone is thinking ahead, this job will be available in April of 2013.(Might be worth the wait).

I've been a part of the IDANG since 1985. I've worked on RF-4C and F-4G versions of the Phantom, A-10's, and several different RADARs. Now I run the Quality Assurance and Standards Evaluations section.

I still get to fish 60 times a year or so. Keeps me sane...

I'm a Fire Program Management Specialist with the National Park Service, headquartered at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise. More specifically, I develop the NPS's wildland fire management budget, and once the politicians see fit to get off their sorry butts and approve a Federal budget, I have the pleasure of allocating funds to the various NPS wildland fire programs and oversee their fiscal operations.

Come spring through fall I'll be who knows where, working on fires. I like the work but it sure screws me out of a lot of quality fishing time.

Before coming to Boise in 1990, I had the pleasure of working in several great NPS areas: Isle Royale; Yosemite; Death Valley; Olympic; Fort Necessity; Shiloh; and Great Smokies. Been an interesting 35 years!
