Neccanicum lost DB oar, gear

I loaned my driftboat to a friend today, and he wrecked it. Lost one oar (old yellow fiberglass), all of his fishing gear, and cracked my boat. I'm not familiar with the river; said it was right near the launch ramp. Would love to have the oar back, and I'm sure he would love to have any of his gear back that you find. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your friend's accident, I hope everyone was ok. I was about 3/4 of a mile below where your friend likely dumped. (root wad on the first corner below the put in?) I saw a small blue cooler in the eddy above where I was anchored and what looked like a light blue fish box tumble down the river. I couldn't get either item. I'd guess that most of the lost gear is in the first couple holes below where he wrecked. You might consider posting a lost and found sign at both the gravel pit and the Relief Pitcher take outs with your phone number. Be advised, that if decide to go back and collect gear, that this river is not for the novice oarsman. There are numberous rootwads, sweepers, rocks, etc. that can sink a boat.
