One more week of chinooks and there should be plenty around to catch. This Dec. has proved to be the best I have seen for chinooks. I finally switched over to steelhead a week ago. I decided it was more fun to land a 25# chinook on 12# line that it was to land a 6# steelhead on 40#. We have been drift fishing and side-drifting small baits of eggs and sometimes a piece of shrimp and eggs. We still hooked chinooks everyday we fished this month but one. We have also been seeing lots of early natives so please fish responsible and handle them with care. Here are a couple pics.
