As I was saying two weeks ago there will be lots of salmon around throughout Dec. as most people rush to switch to steelhead. But, even I didn't realize just how good it would be. WOW what a fall chinook year. Over my last 11 trips (on 3 different coastal river) we have managed to boat 81 chinooks and 1 13# steelhead( it ate a 5/0 hook and huge bait). We managed to keep limits on 10 of these trips. Look for chinooks to push in right to the Jan 1 deadline and don't be surprised if we see many after it this year. Here are a couple photo's
