Winter steelhead are already showing up in many local rivers and that is a good sign. One of the most efficient ways to catch one of these silver bullets is on a jig. To be more specific, a pink/white jig. If I had one color pattern to use for Winter steelhead it would have to be pink/white. Year after year pink/white jigs consistently catch fish in a variety of conditions.
Last week I took out "Pops" for our first trip of the season and he promptly hooked and landed this beauty on a pink/white jig:

Whether you use a fixed float or prefer a sliding set-up, tie on a pink/white jig and your chances of hooking into a silver bullet are pretty good.
Right now we have several Winter steelhead packages for sale at our on-line store and will be adding new products and holiday specials all the time.
If you have any questions about jig fishing or any of our products, just drop us an e-mail and we will be glad to answer them for you.
Good luck this winter and have fun fishing.
