Time to focus on basketball, where the Drakes and Hens should have good seasons.

CATCH AND EAT

Cawh, cawh, cawh. Even though the Ducks got a thorough roasting I humbly accept a hearty serving of CROW! Phhhha phhhha haa gag gag gag..... I hate crow feathers. :depressed:
Worst of all is trying to pass them in the next few day.
Congrats to the steadfast Beaver fans. You guys deserve it. graemlins/applause.gif Beaver secondary defense took it to the Ducks. They effectively shut down the passing game. But they did give up 24 points.
I am humbled. graemlins/stupid.gif graemlins/1zhelp.gif

SteeliSteve...
LAST YEAR>>>CRUSHED?
 Let me refreash your memory of last year's Civil War.
- Keenan Howry returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown, and Maurice Morris added an 8-yard scoring run with 4:36 left as No. 4 Oregon kept its slim national title hopes alive with a rainswept 17-14 victory over Oregon State on Saturday in the 105th Civil War. The Ducks were beaten up at the line of scrimmage nearly the entire game, and the team's powerful offense generated just 143 yards in the first three quarters. Oregon quarterback Joey Harrington didn't help his Heisman bid, completing 11 of 22 passes for only 104 yards. But his 28-yard strike to a diving Howry on third-and-10 was the key play of the Ducks' final scoring drive. Then Harrington, whose five interceptions and one fumble led to the Beavers 23-13 victory in Corvallis last year, lost the ball after being hit with 1:38 left. Jake Cookus recovered at the Oregon 33. Oregon State lost seven yards on the next two plays before Smith's sideline pass was intercepted by Rashad Bauman with just under a minute left. <font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">So let's see. That was 17 to 14 and you say the Beavs were crushed. The Beavs beat the ducks this year 45-24, hmmmm, whats that then a slaughter...you make me laugh. graemlins/berry.gif Give the Beavs their and our dues! graemlins/hearton.gif

hey ducks you sound just like the losers on the bench when they scored their second touchdown. "Hey how do you like us now". You know what but this ol' boy can count and your still behind you idiot. It would take a duck to think that he can flip off the crowd when his lunch is laying in his lap. Oh lets turn to basketball-jez how bout checkers man. This was a football game. Do you guys get it. Basketball is for ( oh i get it waf waf), lets bury our heads and pass the tourch to the bball team. Nice touch. What's next you bringing back baseball. Bring It.
It's typical of the Beav's to think one victory makes a season. OK, you got bragging rights for a year, but in the last ten years, when the Ducks have won the majority of the games, I'd like to think we've taken it a bit more in stride. I'll eat crow now, but dang I hate when the BEav's act like a victory over the Ducks makes them a contender. Phil K will carry us over the next decade.

Eating Crow here. The Beavers put on a great game, congratulations. The emotional game went to the Beavers too as the Ducks lost their heads with all of the penalties in the game.
Cully.... I don't understand your math. The Beavs and Ducks were tied when the Ducks scored their second touchdown. I have still never heard of waf waf. Is that a CornValley term? What happened when the Beavers had a great basketball team? They were the stuff. I guess times change. Ralph Miller is long gone. I think a real Beaver alumnus would stick to their alma mater regardless of what sport is played. I know I have. I suffered through Don Monson and Jerry Green. Thank you Ernie Kent for creating a great program and leaving it in the greatest venue in the Pac-10. I am going to be interested when it comes to the basketball season to see how much smack the Beaver fans talk then.

With Anderson and Jackson around for a couple more years....could be down right scary!
Cully, Why is it that UO doesnt have a baseball team? I played in the PAC10 North and Oregon only had a club team I believe?
