i just bought a new truck and cant stand the passenger side "objects may seem closer" mirror when i`m backing my boat up, so my question is has anyone found a place to cut a peice of normal mirror to replace it with or know of somewhere to buy a normal mirror ?

am i the only one who hates these mirrors ?

Motormite makes replacement mirror glass for OEM mirrors. Most decent parts stores carry it. It comes with self-adhesive tape on the back.
You'll probably need a heat gun to remove the old glass. Be careful- the first time I did this I broke the new glass by pressing too hard on it.

Measure the mirror first. If I remember right, you have to order it by size, not by the make or model of truck. If your local parts guy plays stupid and says he can't get it, send me an e-mail and I'll steer in you the right direction.
I'm assuming you have the swing-out type mirrors and not the little car-type ones you find on smaller pickups. Those little ones are a different story, and they're useless for towing anyway.
