I am not jonesing to go fishing or anything. It's not like I don't have a new pole or anything. It's not like I don't have some smelt getting locker burnt in my freezer or anything....... graemlins/idea.gif

Does anyone have an open seat in the next few days?

I just got a new 15' ugly stick and a Diawa Sealine reel but don't have a clue where to go and get some action from the bank. I have been fishing at kelly point park with little success, I have landed one shaker for the last four trips. Any of you fellow Ifishers bank bound like myself? I could sure use a point in the right direction. I owe my girlfriends dad the first keeper(he bought the setup for me) and would really like to repay the debt. Thanks in advance.

If you have a Washington license you can fish from the bank along the OceanBeach highway about 10-15 miles west of Longview. Park on the shoulder, use pole holders on the guardrail. Deep water right off the bank.

Steelie Ben,
A much closer spot for you would be Milwaukie Boat Ramp. You actually want to fish off the rip rap bank just south (upstream) of the ramp. There is a paved walkway at the top of the rip rap that you can set up on with a lawnchair or whatever.
Another good place on the Willamette is Courtney St. park.

About 1/4 mile easy walk downstream of the GIlbert River boat ramp on Sauvie Island (parking permit needed) there is deep hole on the bend, usually fished by boats, but guys off the bank plunk too. Don't know how well they do, but the scenary is nice.

I love to bank fish for sturg, found Bonneville a good place to go. Will be going out early tomorrow morning, happy to show you where to go.
