Thinking about buying one, anyone have any comments on it?

Corkie: I also have a 401 TE. Very nice reel. Has more ball bearings than the older models. Also has a clicker - which I really like. Finally, it is very easy to access the cast control features. Expensive, but worth it. Drifter.

Ohhh, Yaaaaaaaa baaabbby.........That's my next toy

This is what I'm doing;
I add $15.00 to my Calcutta fund every time I catch a Nookie, lets see I'm up to $180.00 for this Fall. I figure after Springers next year I'll be set, That's the only way I can justify $350.00 for a reel So, if your fishing next to me and I get one in the net, you'll know what I mean when I say that's one for the Calcutta.

PS
If you want to contribute to the fund please visit any Bank of America and donate

Any contribution will be greatly appreciated, just think of the smile you'll put on a fellow ifisher. :grin: :grin: :grin:

Hey Corkie Monster, I have the 401TE. It is by far the best reel I have ever owned. No cheap plastic parts, very very smooth. Be prepared to spend $350 for this jewel. I splurged on it for a rod that I custom built. It comes highly recomended from me.

Good luck
