st.helens sturgeon report

fished there today from about 1:00pm till about 5:30pm 1 small keeper & about 30 shorts.we used frozen smelt infront of the lonng house the whole time.it was pretty steady action the whole time.we were the only ones out there the whole time.the fish seemed to be pretty freash and full of fight. cant hadly wait till the 23rd.hopefully there will be some bigger fish by then. :smile:

Always nice to get the string pulled. I can 't wait for the 23th.
Where do you think most of the boats will be on the 23th?
Am thinking up river, around rooster rock and above.

Thanks for the report sportster. Glad you saw some action.
I think your right bassin, the area out of Dodsen is gonna see most of the presure next weekend.
I will be fishing the Raineer area with a group of friends from the Gamefishin.com web site. I think we are about 5 boats strong at this point. These guys are all from Wa. state so it's close for them and we hope to miss the huge crowd.
